We are an organization founded for the promotion of business and economic growth in Hawaii based upon the principle, “Members Supporting Members.”

The organization provides leadership and programs which promote membership interaction, resulting in growth and the continuation of its legacy.

We continue creating opportunities since 1900 to promote fostering friendships, connecting “B2B” (business-to-business), and mālama ka ‘āina (‘caring for the land’).

Carlsmith Ball is pleased to announce that Lucas Love (HJCC Member and Hawaii-Hiroshima Emerging Young Business Leaders Program Alumnus, 2017-2018) has been promoted to partner in the firm’s Honolulu office.

Love is a member of Carlsmith Ball’s tax practice group. His practice includes tax planning for business transactions, international tax planning and compliance, tax controversy and audit defense, estate planning for large estates and small business owners, trust and estate administration, and nonprofit organization formation and administration. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in Berkeley, California, and previously served as an associate at Baker & McKenzie in Palo Alto, California, before joining Carlsmith Ball in 2015.
