The Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce’s (HJCC) 40th Annual ‘Commitment to Excellence’ Art Exhibition has successfully closed with an extended show for the award winners at Neiman Marcus. The Neiman Marcus Exhibition, held on the third floor in their gift galleries section, had also been extended to September 3rd due to the threat of Hurricane Lane.

The regular Exhibition ended on Thursday, August 16th, with the winning artwork moved and installed on Friday, August 17th. A total of 17 pieces were displayed at Neiman Marcus, including seven of Featured Artist Sally French’s artworks.

In an opening reception held at Neiman Marcus, Neiman Marcus Public Relations Manager Amy Tomita and HJCC Chair of the Board Melanie Okazaki addressed the attendees, congratulating the winning artists and Featured Artist Sally French.

The HJCC would like to send a big Mahalo to Duane Kawamoto, Food & Beverage Manager at Neiman Marcus (Mariposa) and HJCC Member, for helping the HJCC have an exhibition at Neiman Marcus, and to Amy Tomita for hosting the opening reception! Mahalo to our artists, gallery designers, and volunteers for another successful year!
