We are an organization founded for the promotion of business and economic growth in Hawaii based upon the principle, “Members Supporting Members.”

The organization provides leadership and programs which promote membership interaction, resulting in growth and the continuation of its legacy.

We continue creating opportunities since 1900 to promote fostering friendships, connecting “B2B” (business-to-business), and mālama ka ‘āina (‘caring for the land’).

HJCC Member Lyle Takeuchi (Flora-Dec Sales, Inc.) and Kansai University Senior High School Students

HJCC Chamber Member Companies hosted groups of Kansai University Senior High School students from Osaka, Japan for their third annual Honolulu study trip.

Kansai University Senior High School was certified as a Super Global High School (SGH) by the Japanese Government from 2014-2018. They coordinate a program called the “Overseas Study Tour” together with Kansai University. The program aims to foster globalized leaders who will be able to play active roles on an international level in a rapidly growing globalized world. The students are expected to conduct fieldwork research on local companies and institutes on a research topic that will be presented to fellow classmates upon returning to Japan. Last year, the students visited 25 companies and institutes including companies in Hawaii which enhanced the students’ intercultural understanding and broadened their intellectual horizons.
