We are an organization founded for the promotion of business and economic growth in Hawaii based upon the principle, “Members Supporting Members.”

The organization provides leadership and programs which promote membership interaction, resulting in growth and the continuation of its legacy.

We continue creating opportunities since 1900 to promote fostering friendships, connecting “B2B” (business-to-business), and mālama ka ‘āina (‘caring for the land’).

The GAC (Government Affairs Committee) coordinated a lunchtime presentation by University of Hawaii President David Lassner on September 9, 2014, at Manoa Grand Ballroom Lounge, with thirty-four participants.

President Lassner shared the UH System’s strategic plan, including increasing the number of degrees and certificates granted, addressing the deferred maintenance issues, and increasing revenues from intellectual properties by fostering the development of start-up companies, rather than pursuing a traditional licensing model.

President Lassner also fielded a variety of questions from audience members relating to diverse subjects such a new dorm construction, campus expansion and outreach to foreign students.
