We are an organization founded for the promotion of business and economic
growth in Hawaii based upon the principle, "Members Supporting Members."

The organization provides leadership and programs which promote membership
interaction, resulting in growth and the continuation of its legacy.

We have completed another fiscal year (July 1, 2012 – June 30, 2013) under the leadership of Immediate Past Chair Scott Higa who asked everyone to “GET INVOLVED”! Thanks to all of you we were able to accomplish many important initiatives during the past fiscal year.

The tax on sugary beverages and the tax on single-use grocery bags are dead. Unemployment tax relief (provided in some prior years) is dead, so employers will be stuck with Schedule G for this year. The bill applying conveyance tax to changes in control of entities that own Hawaii real property has also died.

On August 12, 2013, over 200 art enthusiasts attended the Opening Reception of the HJCC 35th Annual “Commitment to Excellence” Art Exhibition held at the Honolulu Museum of Art School.
