We were visited by the Director of International Trade, Takayasu Noaki  from the Shizuoka Prefecture Government who were in Honolulu to promote their beef, strawberry, wasabi and marine products during a two day show at a local Japanese store.  With them were food product people from Shizuoka.

The “Hawaii for Hiroshima Fundraising Committee” announced that $21,230.00 was raised from organizations, businesses and individuals throughout the State of Hawaii for the victims of the recent landslides in Hiroshima City.  100 % of donations received was sent to the City of Hiroshima, which is responsible for the relief effort in Hiroshima.
