Dear Members & Supporters of the HJCC,
As we bid farewell to 2024 and welcome the promise of a new year, I am filled with gratitude for what we’ve accomplished together as a chamber. This past year has been marked by innovation, collaboration, and community building, a reflection of our mission of members supporting members to support business growth and foster cultural ties.
Key Highlights from 2024:
- Launch of Our New Website (January 2024):
We kicked off the year with the unveiling of our redesigned website, providing an enhanced platform for member resources, event updates, and member engagement. - Membership Survey:
In January 2024, we conducted a comprehensive membership survey to better understand your needs, priorities, and aspirations for the chamber. Your valuable feedback has guided our initiatives and strategic planning throughout the year. - New Mentorship Program:
This initiative connected seasoned professionals with aspiring leaders, fostering growth and sharing expertise to empower the next generation of chamber leaders. - Leadership and Entrepreneurial Exchange Program:
In partnership with our sister chamber, the Hiroshima Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we re-launched an improved exchange program. This initiative has deepened our bonds and provided valuable learning opportunities for participants from both chambers. - Successful Events:
- The 78th Annual Shinnen Enkai celebrated the New Year with vibrant cultural traditions and a spectacular kabuki performance.
- The 20th Chopsticks &Wine event brought together over 1,200 attendees to enjoy culinary delights and community camaraderie.
- Our 10th Annual Game Changers Forum explored the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on business and society.
- The Inauguration, Membership Recognition and Generational Award Celebration in July celebrated new leadership while honoring outstanding members and recognizing multi-generation business.
- The Samurai Golf Classic combined friendly competition with community spirit, further strengthening our connections.
As we prepare for 2025, we remain steadfast in our commitment to fostering collaboration, supporting local businesses, and celebrating cultural heritage. I look forward to seeing many of you at the 79th Shinnen Enkai on January 3, 2025, as we usher in another year of opportunity and achievement.
Thank you for your dedication and support. Together, we continue to build a vibrant and thriving chamber community!
