2026 Premium Wine Tasting - Line Up
2019 Relic Artefact Cabernet Sauvignon
A killer effort, sourced from Kenefick Ranch in Calistoga, Relic's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Artefact includes 4% Petit Verdot. Matured 20 months in new French oak, it offers scents of crushed stone, cedar and cassis on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is rich and expansive, creamy and lush, long and mouthwatering. This checks all the boxes, being harmonious and even pretty, while being packed with power.
2018 Heitz Trailside Cabernet Sauvignon
Sleek and focused, with notes of damson plum, red currant coulis and dark cherry preserves corseted tightly with singed tobacco, cast iron and loam accents. Cedar and sanguine notes add a twang amid the dark fruit, giving the finish a mouthwatering edge.
2019 Mayacamas Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a pretty rich, bombastic wine, especially for Mayacamas. A blast of dark fruit, incense, tobacco, licorice, spice and mocha hits the palate. I would give the 2019 at least a few years in bottle to settle down, as it is quite the powerhouse today. This is an unusually flamboyant wine with plenty of richness and a bit less in the way of subtlety. The opulence of the vintage comes through loud and clear.
2018 Beringer Private Reserve
Wild blackberry, cassis, dark chocolate, tobacco and dark spice on the nose. Dried violets, too. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, powdery tannins and a creamy texture. Intense, yet restrained and refined, with a solid core of dark berries and bitter chocolate.
2021 Palmaz Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2021 vintage of our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant expression of our vineyards, beautifully showcasing how our grapes thrive in cooler and longer growing seasons. Fruity aromas like dark currant and orange peel complement brilliantly hints of spices like cloves and cinnamon as they waft from the glass. Once on the palate, characteristics of tobacco and dark cherries balance this wine’s bold and daring tannins. After a short time in the glass, the tannins round out to reveal a silky and lingering finish.
2021 Patrimony Cabernet Sauvignon
Dark-fruited and toasted aromas of wild blackberries, tobacco, seaweed and orange zest. The palate is full-bodied with finely integrated tannins and bright acidity. It shows notes of bramble berries, leather, graphite and roast meat. Wonderfully balanced and fresh.
