Giving Back Together: Supporting the “2026 Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive
On May 9, 2026, Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce (HJCC) partnered with the Honolulu Japanese Junior Chamber of Commerce (HJJCC) volunteers proudly joined hundreds of volunteers and community partners for the National Association of Letter Carriers' annual "Stamp Out Hunger" Food Drive in support of the Hawaii Foodbank. This nationwide initiative helps provide meals and support for local families facing food insecurity, and we were honored to play a small part in such an important effort.
This year's event marked one of the largest joint community service turnouts we've had! Volunteers came together in matching yellow and red volunteer shirts with incredible energy and dedication to help sort, collect and move donated food items that will directly benefit our local community here in Hawaii.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who volunteered their time and effort, as well as to the Hawaii Foodbank for organizing and supporting this impactful initiative.
We invite all HJCC members and friends to stay on the lookout for our next community service project and future volunteer opportunities. The incredible turnout for this event showed the strength of our community when we come together in service, and we hope to see more members join us as we continue making a positive impact to our local community. Mahalo again to everyone who participated and helped make this project a success!
